Been A While

Mommy calls this weekend a celebration. I don’t know all of mommy’s words. When she said this one it made me wiggle … I may have spun around a little two, I’m good at that. It seemed to take much longer to get ready today so I waited by the door. Then mommy said one of the words I really know, ”ready.”

The day was perfect. Sunny, cold, crispy, snow that I could run out on (don’t like when my feet punch through snow piles), small breeze – snifibility range was optimal. So many sniffs.

The woods trail is my favorite place. Most everything was how I left it 8 months ago, of course there was no snow then. Some of the trees were laying down. Mommy said it must be because of the storm, which I totally get. I like to lay down when there’s a storm too, usually under the table – sometimes behind the couch or under the bed in the cold room, or wherever daddy is. We had to take a few new paths – don’t worry, I always know where I am and lead mommy back to the car.

I met a nice man with really wide shoes – something about not liking it when his feet break through the top crust – totally get that one, as I said.

Mommy says the celebration is because I walked her for 31 miles in January. I think that’s good for her knees or something. Ever since I had my knee problem mommy’s been talking about that a lot. Whatever that means, I’m really glad about our celebration. ”A new day,” mommy said. I guess that’s good, but I hope we can still play the warm rice pack-on-my-leg game and do my bicycles. That’s fun too, unless someone decides to sneak in the nail file, but I can’t get into that now.

Plus, today’s sniffs are making me kind of tired.
